Planar Analysis Project
This project focuses on:
- Abstracting forms into planes
- Representing an image through its internal struture rather than surface
- Learning construction techniques of scoring, slotting and tabbing Bristol board
Assignment: Choose an object or set of objects that you will represent in a 3-Dimensional construction using Bristol board. Simplify the forms into an underlying structure. Abstract your subject into a series of intersecting planes. Do not try to represent any surface of the object (s), but rather the skeletal struture underlying its form. Use flat pieces of Bristol board, score them as needed and slot them togeter to create your planes.
